Counselling in Poulton-le-Fylde
Hello, I’m Beth. I'm a psychotherapist supporting you through life’s challenges
It’s not always easy to reach out for support - especially when you’re so used to carrying things on your own. But if you’ve found your way here, perhaps something’s telling you it’s time to talk.
I offer counselling in a calm, welcoming space where you can feel safe to explore whatever’s on your mind—without fear of judgment, pressure, or having to "have it all together." Whether you're facing a difficult time, struggling in your relationships, feeling unheard, or living with the ongoing challenges of chronic illness, you're not alone—and you don't have to face it alone.
I work with adults of all ages, and I have a particular interest in supporting people who are:
- Living with chronic health conditions, and navigating the emotional, social, and identity shifts that come with them
-Experiencing relationship difficulties—whether romantic, family, or friendships
-Looking to improve communication, set boundaries, or reconnect with their own voice
-Living with or exploring neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism
-Managing low mood, depression, or feeling emotionally stuck
-Simply feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like something needs to change
My approach is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel like a human experience—not a clinical transaction. I’ll work alongside you at your pace, with care and curiosity, to help you make sense of what’s going on and find clarity, healing, or relief—whatever that means for you.
I offer counselling from the comfort of my home-based practice, which is a private and peaceful space where you can feel at ease. Most in-person sessions are gently supervised by my friendly cocker spaniel, Betty, who’s always happy to meet new people. She tends to settle in quietly during sessions—but many clients enjoy her warm, calming presence.
I also provide remote sessions via video or phone, if that suits your life better—whether you're managing health conditions, balancing a busy schedule, or simply prefer the convenience of working together from your own space.
I understand that life doesn’t always fit neatly into fixed time slots, so I aim to offer flexibility in appointments wherever possible. Daytime and evening sessions are available, and we’ll always work together to find a rhythm that works for you.
Whether you're new to counselling or returning to it, my goal is to meet you where you are—with warmth, openness, and a genuine interest in helping you feel more understood, empowered, and supported.

If you feel ready to begin—or even just to ask a few questions—I’d be happy to hear from you.My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I hope to achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and offering unbiased reflections on your situation. Accessing counselling is a big step; I pride myself on being inclusive of all people, therefore no matter what your personal situation is, I aim to help you the best way I can.
I aim to be there for you throughout your counselling journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
I work alongside people living with chronic illness and disability. I know how tough it can feel when life changes in ways you didn’t choose, and my role is to offer a calm, supportive space to talk it through. Together, we look at the emotional ups and downs, the impact on relationships, and the everyday challenges that can feel overwhelming. I draw on approaches that help people build self-compassion, resilience and a sense of meaning, but I always start with what matters most to you. My aim is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported as you find your own way forward.
Relationships can bring us our greatest joy and, at times, our biggest challenges. I offer a calm, supportive space to talk openly about what’s happening in your romantic life, family, or close friendships. Together, we explore patterns, strengthen communication, and work through conflict in a way that feels respectful and constructive. My aim is to help you understand your needs and values, feel more connected to the people who matter, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
I have been in private practice as a counsellor since 2018 and after qualifying as a clinical supervisor in 2021, I would like to offer my experience and support to fellow counsellors, student counsellors and others in helping relationships.
I have supported and supervised those working with different modalities of counselling, including person-centred, CBT and transactional analysis. My aim is to empower my supervisees, and work as a team to achieve a safe and supportive space for their clients. I provide a trustworthy, honest and safe environment for supervisees to explore any issues regarding their own or their clients' welfare.
